New Mexico Las Cruces

This new plate is available only to residents of Las Cruces. When a person holding a special City of Las Cruces registration plate ceases to reside in Las Cruces, that person shall immediately remove the special City of Las Cruces registration plate from the vehicle; return it to the Motor Vehicle Division; and exchange it for another plate.

For purposes of plate issuance to residents of Las Cruces, the vehicle's current registration must show a Las Cruces (street or P.O. Box) address. No additional proof of residence is required.

The fee payable for the initial issuance of a special City of Las Cruces registration plate and for each subsequent renewal is thirty-seven dollars ($37.00) in addition to regular vehicle registration fees. Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) of the fee collected for each registration plate shall be distributed to the city of Las Cruces Recreation Fund.
