Government plates are coded by island. The letter on the right is the island. C is St. Croix Island. Each island starts at G-1001x

Air and Army National Guard flat plate

Taxicabs on each island have their own series of license plates starting from 0001. The island name and the word TAXI are stacked on the left side of the serial.

Charles Robinson reports seeing plates only in the CDx-CEx range in St. Croix during a visit in Feb. 2013. The highest he saw was CEQ 564.
